Annie Farmer, Epstein survivor, calls for federal government to be held accountable for permitting his abuse to go on “Annie Farmer Epstein Case”

Annie Farmer Epstein Case

Annie Farmer, who has long spoken about the abuse she endured at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, praised the House on Tuesday for approving the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

This bill orders the justice department to release documents from the federal probe into Epstein’s criminal network. Once it reaches the Senate, it is expected to move through automatically, possibly as early as Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Farmer appeared at a Washington DC vigil held for survivors of Epstein’s crimes, where she addressed supporters and reporters.

In a written statement, Farmer said:

“Nearly thirty years ago, my sister Maria Farmer brought Epstein and Maxwell’s actions to the attention of federal officials. Since then, many survivors — including me — have had no clarity on how our reports were handled, who played a role in our exploitation, or how Epstein and Maxwell managed to operate freely for so many years. We’re grateful to Representatives Massie and Khanna for pushing this bill forward and for continuing to demand the release of the Epstein records. But this is only one step. Maria’s ongoing lawsuit, which challenges the federal government for mishandling her complaint, is still critical. We hope her case finally brings the transparency and accountability that all involved should face.”
